I enjoyed the first few chapters and shouldn't have paused to finish another book. I could not get back into the story and already forgot most of what I read a day later, not a good sign! Other reviewers said it gets better later. This is on the slow side, not my kind of thriller. DNF 40%.

I was going to read this and had my library hold come in twice and couldn't pull the trigger either time and passed it to the next person...I think the universe was telling me exactly what you said in this review, Kay! On to the next! 💕

I can’t do a DNF yet. Maybe someday. You’re exactly right, as usual, about the beginning chapters. I felt it dragged on, never really pulling me in. Eventually, I did become interested, so I gave it three stars. It was an “average� for me 🤷🏼♀�
