I think this might be my favourite Gillian Flynn book so far?
We've got:
- An unlikeable but strangely relatable heroine
- A gory murder
- Satanism (always a plus)
- An awkward, murder-obsessed sidekick
- An abusive relationship wherein the woman is the abuser (way too rarely discussed in fiction)
- Did I mention satanism?
I could hardly put this one down. Which reminds me: don't eat while reading the cow scene, I repeat, do not eat while reading the cow scene!

I'm curious but at the same time I'm always hesitant to watch movie adaptations after reading the source material, because they never live up to my imagination.

Excellent review Mimi! I loved this one too. Gillian Flynn is out of this world. I wish she would write more books for us!
