I honestly hate this book. NOTHING EVER HAPPENS!!!!! I'm actually almost done and I hate it sooooo much. I figured out the big secret that black Arthur was his father in probably the first chapter or two. Then the whole him being possesed by a demon (well I think so, I'm not sure since I haven't gotten o if he is or not) is sooooooo obvious, I've heard of all these wonderful reviews and how the author uses light foreshadowing, when truly, she doesn't, since there's NOTHING TO FORESHADOW!!! The book is driving me so bonkers that I just can't finish such a worthless pile of text that means absolutely nothing...two years, and I STILL can rant about how awful this book is, and I'm not even done with it yet.

Thank you!!! I was beginnig to think I was totally insane or something. I am seriously TRYING to read this book, but I feel like I'm forcing myself to finish it. I see all these 5 star reviews from some pretty trusted people and it actually made me think that I might have to go see a doctor or something for my head. You are right, NOTHING happens and what does happen I have no idea what just happened because I'm so frustrated and have to go back. The only good part is that I can laugh at it. Is it just me, or is nothing developed or described at all? When Nick is "dancing" up a demon, it doesn't say how he's dancing. I was seriously picturing the running man or the "Carlton" (from Fresh Prince of Bel Aire). I am halfway through the book and I've read 6 other books while trying to finish it. When I was about 50 pages into it I thought "what the heck is this book about?" and I had to read the book jacket for a description. Again, thank you for making me feel like there is some SANITY left in this world.
I'm SOOOO glad that you feel the same way!! When I read the reviews about it I thought it would be good too, but it's one of the worst book's I've ever attempted to read!! I think people may have just felt bad or knew that the author Ally Carter who writes the Gallagher Girl books, so they didn't want to anger her or anything!! Thank you sooooo much for feeling the same way and reasuring me that there are still some sane people in the world!!
