Is there anything you enjoyed about this book?
I feel like I need to reread this book now because so many people who have opinions I agree with hate this book???? And I liked it. And now I’m second guessing my like for it lmao

the amount of books that have been re-pubbed with stunning covers just to suck and then actual good books re-pubbed without the pretty covers are the amazing ones... idk what my point was - i keep eyeing this book even though I know I'm gonna hate it - just because of the shiny cover. So I guess I'm a crow? Gosh I hope you get to read something good soon <3
I'm reading The Unmapping by Denise S Robbins right now and it's SO GOOD
I felt the same way with this book. It feels like nothing happened, there were zero stakes, zero explanations for the magic, zero build up for the “romance�, and zero build up for literally anything. The main character may honestly be the worst main character I have ever read. This had potential, the ideas were there, but in the end nothing is holding it up whatsoever.
I can agree with you, Sam. Just finished it, and feel like I don't understand the magic system. Freya was pretty annoying too, plus insta-love with Bjorn...
