Artek and his brothers (in SBfSAB) had an idea to bring some of their other wounded brothers-in-arms to their small sanctuary to live and work and heal and, well, here we are. Borgaz is the first of the new crew to find his special someone and he REALLY fights it. Mostly because he thinks someone as damaged him doesn't deserve love.

Guess what, buddy? Love doesn't care how damaged you are. It's going to chase you down and force you to deal with it head on. Which isn't to say Borgaz doesn't do the retreat and hide on several occasions because that totally happens. But he figures things out. Eventually.

On Mary's end, she's a little world-weary and a lot prickly when she first meets Borgaz. She's grieving and dealing with the fallout of trusting the wrong person and she's not about to let some big, bossy alien male kick her out of the one place she feels at home. As it turns out, Borgaz's bossiness kind of grows on her and soon these two are sparking off one another something fierce.

A run-down farm, a lady who refuses to back down, a male with a lot of heart, and friends who don't let someone get away with running even though it's very much what they think they need to do. I'm ready to see what sort of lady tames Temel's heart now!
