༘⋆ juliette ferrars. mam, you babygirled, girlbossed, and character-developed all in one book and i’m here for it <3 I love how juliette went from ‘oh, adam 🥺�� to ‘oh, warner 😚�� in one book (I literally have no other way to explain that development, i’m so sorry-). she’s so much more confident and amazing, and I absolutely love this new version of her!

༘⋆ aaron warner. this man, holy shit. dear god, i’m NOT your strongest soldier. I just want to bottle his voice and accent up, and inject it into my veins. every scar on his back and every tear he sheds rattles my bones, and makes me want to murder anderson.

༘⋆ warnette. aaron is quite literally THE book bf, and I finally get the hype. it’s not just that he’s hot and sexy (though, he definitely is), it’s that he’s so caring and sweet and lovely with juliette. he’s like this, but only with her, bc he knows that she’s the only one who’d ever understand his situation and him, in general, and that’s honestly all I need to believe in their love. and juliette’s only transformed into a more confident and better version of herself since she’s been with aaron. warnette = goals.

༘⋆ kenji kishimoto ��. this man (boy) right here? yeah, he’s going to be the death of me. i’d like to wrap him in five blankets and protect him forever, but apparently tahereh always has different plans, huh. the ending broke me, mainly bc I literally couldn’t read about kenji’s physical state (bro is mentally six thousand feet under, we don’t talk about that) after what anderson did, without crying. also, the ‘being funny is my way of coping with a hell of a lot of trauma�� sound familiar to you (leo from hoo & keefe from kotlc)? for the love of god, why is it always the sarcastic, funny, amazing-looking, and sweet comic-relief side characters that I fall in love with-

༘⋆ kenji-juliette. they invented found family and platonic soulmatism, prove me wrong, i’ll wait. they remind me so much of one of my closest friends and me, it’s slightly eerie, lmao. him and I have the exact same conversations as kenji and juliette, and it’s safe to say we’d go to the ends of the world for each other too <3

༘⋆ the plot was so much better than shatter me and unravel me, i’m so happy. I was praying it wouldn’t get worse, and it didn’t!

the angst, the fluff, the screaming, the crying, the found family, the friendships, the love, and everything in between was top-tier <3

the only reason this wasn’t 5 stars is because it felt a little casual around 300-350 pages. not the plot entirely, of course, but the way they all spoke about killing anderson and then they just went and did it. well, juliette and kenji did it, almost single-handedly. how could it possibly be so easy to kill anderson without much struggle, when he’s been invincible for so long? this could’ve been a five star read if, maybe, it wasn’t so easy to murder a man like anderson.

༘⋆ my favourite parts of the book were the warnette fluff, as well as the kenji-juliette scenes! we got so many funny conversations between them, and it just made me so so happy to read it.

warnette, tho. hot damn. they’re finally together and I couldn’t be happier! and, like, come on. imagine waking up to aaron’s face everyday.

༘⋆ i’m so impressed by tahereh. usually, most trilogies/series end (though technically, this isn’t the end?) on a really sad note with lots of deaths (of my fav characters), but i’m so so glad this one was different! what a way to end the original trilogy!

༘⋆ I went in withlower expectations than i’d gone with into shatter me and unravel me, because I assumed this would be the usual case of ‘last book isn’t the best book�� in duologies/trilogies. I was compeltely wrong, tho. this was so so good, and might just be the best out of the original trilogy!!
