I have mixed feelings about this book. On one hand the plot twists were surprising and the mystery was interesting, but on the other hand the pacing was inconsistent, the character development was lacking and I didn't connect to most of the characters. The plot was interesting in the beginning, but it dragged in the middle. The pacing was inconsistent, it was very slow for most of the book and then a bit fast at the end. I didn't like Bel, she is judgmental, rude and I didn't like how she treated Ash and some of the other characters. She is also annoying and didn't think about the consequences of her actions until the end. I felt that Bel's character development was lacking, there wasn't much growth in her character or her actions. The only character I liked was Ash, he is sweet, helpful, outgoing, and funny. The romance between Bel and Ash was okay, I liked the banter but I didn't feel any chemistry between them. The ending was a bit disappointing, there were several plot twists but only one of them was surprising to me. Overall this book was okay, but the pacing was too slow, the character development was lacking and I didn't like most of the characters.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who felt this way. Yes Bel's character bothered me and there was no character development. Ash was honestly the best character in the book. The pacing really bothered me. Yes I agree.

Fab review, Gillian. Very fair and honest. I hope you love the next one you pick up. 🤗💕
