Poe Are you OK!!

Beautiful, classic, and creepy. I feel like Poe needs a hug or a weighted blanket. Heartbreaking.🖤🖤

There is an Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy being set up in Sacramento, and I really want to go. However, I thought I should read some of his work before attending. What is your favorite work of his?

Rosh (Off GR duty for a fortnight!) So nice that you enjoyed it too, Jaymie!
I love his short story 'The Tell-tale Heart'. :)

Thank you, Rosh! I haven't had the chance to read "The Tell-Tale Heart" yet, but I've heard great things about it and definitely want to dive into it soon!🖤🖤🖤

Nora Currie My all time favorite poem! So happy you love this poem too, PoppyflowerJJ! Edgar Allan Poe suffered from the same disorder I have: schizophrenia. I have always felt a deep connection to him and I now know the reason why.

That's incredible to hear! It must be very meaningful for you to connect with Edgar Allan Poe on such a personal level. Art has a powerful way of speaking to our experiences and emotions.🖤🖤🖤

Chris Lee (away) Fun review, Pop! I think this was the first short I ever read. 😁 This or "The Black Cat."

Thomas I enjoyed your review. My daughter lives in N. Carolina on Ravenwood Drive. The next street is Nevermore.

Bryan Farrell Great review @PoppyflowerJJ and having read a lot of Poe over the years, I can only agree that man would have benefited from a hug, a weighted blanket, maybe a spa day, and at the very least an Oodie! Still, if someone ever time-travels back to give him those things, we'll all miss out...like, nobody wants Poe's The Rise of the House of Usher or The Little Raven That Could.

This was one of my shortest reads too! Thank Chris!

Thank you! How interesting about your daughter's address on Ravenwood Drive near Nevermore. Please tell me she has a gothic aesthetic to her house! lol

Haha, well said! Poe's work might have taken a different turn with some TLC and an Oodie. 😄

She went thru a bit of a goth period in her teens, but that was 30 years ago. She likes flowers and has quite a few.
