Cover and plot reveal. So I guess Sen dropped the whole handmaid鈥檚 tale aspect of the story. Based off of the book description. I mean that was a large part of Manacled 馃檭. Kind of hoping that was to improve the book/plot adaptation and not to make the book more marketable. I鈥檓 reserving judgement until the book comes out, but tbh kind of disappointed if this is true.

The latest news letter has me a bit nervous lol 馃槄 (but hopeful).
I鈥檓 really hoping Del Rey doesn鈥檛 drop the ball in terms of telling Sen to cut too much from her 1100 page manuscript 馃檭

Hands down the most anticipated read of my enter life. I鈥檝e read Manacled 4 times in the last 3 years. I hope this new, non fanfic version lives up to my love of the original. I have no doubt Sen will impress and blow me away with this book. Very, very excited for their first book in the publishing space.
One of my favorite parts of Manacled was the alchemy, so for this new version to be called Achlemised is very appropriate and hopefully indicative that the new version will retain the best parts of the original.
Note: The author mentioned Manacled (dramione fanfic version) will remain on Archive of Our Own (AO3) until the end of 2024, and will be taken down in 2025.

is manacled worth the read and is it dark ? and is there any other love interests/love scenes im curious but im a strict monogamous girlie

It鈥檚 dark, but I like dark gotichy romances. I wouldn鈥檛 say it鈥檚 the darkest that I鈥檝e ever read though. It鈥檚 not dead dove level in my opinion. There鈥檚 a hea, but everyone is put through the wringer to get there. Really great love scenes, but it takes a while to get there too, but it鈥檚 worth the wait. No love triangles or other love interests. I don鈥檛 know what shen will do with this newer version, but all of the stories that I鈥檝e read by her have strictly monogamous relationships.
Oh wait nvm lol. But does this mean this is still set in the world of Harry Potter or not?
The fanfic was, this is not. Alchemised is going to have elements of Manacled from what I understand, but take place in its own original magical world. Not sure if it鈥檚 an urban fantasy or a high fantasy. Manacaled is the dramione fanfic that takes place in the hp world.

Dead dove means no hea and really bad stuff happens to the main character.
I was wondering how she was going to rewrite the story to make it original, I figured she鈥檇 have to drop the HP/HT plot beats. 馃樀鈥嶐煉煒� We鈥檒l see when it comes out! 馃┓
