A Fate Inked in Blood (Saga of the Unfated, #1)

Okay so gave myself some time to review this one. Another 5⭐️ read for Danielle. This gave Viking, Norse mythology and romance! All that good stuff hahah.
On a serious note, I loved this one because I feel like the banter and dialogue between Freya and Bjorn was just right. Sometimes authors try too hard with being witty and it gets annoying. But these two were genuinely funny with their light quips and I appreciated that.
Another great thing about this one? Pacing! It was fast paced and you did not have to wait for too long before things ACTUALLY happened. I don’t want to spoil it but problems arose and got dealt with quickly in a good way. There weren’t several long drawn out secrets that left the reader frustrated for no reason. The interest in Freya’s powers was exposed to everyone from the beginning. Which meant that the big secrets revealed at the end were really interesting.
I think it was a good cliffhanger. It wasn’t one that left you broken hahah. It was more a twist that left you wondering how their relationship would play out in the next book.
This was heavily influenced by Norse Mythology so we got several references to the Gods. It wasn’t just skipped over with focus on romance. The balance was just right. Only warning is that it was quite gruesome at times so if you’re not into Viking battles with axes and all that then this may not be for you. ❤️
