— 3. stars.
Well, this review will be very short because I don't have much to say, it has been a fairly average book, I expected a lot more from it, since the plot sounded very interesting, but it didn't deliver as I expected.
Darby is driving when a snowstorm forces her to spend the night with four strangers at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. Searching for a signal on her mobile phone, she sees the silhouette of a kid hand inside a van. Darby decides that she is going to save the kid, but it is not going to be an easy task, since one of those strangers is the kidnapper.
The book is entertaining, I am not going to deny it, but it seemed very unremarkable to me, the reason it has 3 stars and no less is that I read it very quickly, and it makes you feel as if you were inside a thriller movie. Despite that, it didn't seem special to me at all, I didn't feel fear or tension at any time.
It is a book that I would recommend if you don't know what to read, if you want a palate cleanser or if you have a reading slump, since it throws you directly into the story and the pacing is very good, but, as I have already said, it is a mid book.
