I have some mixed feelings about this short novel about boxing and growing up. At first I liked and was fascinated by the style, the eye for detail, and the descriptions of the characters. But about halfway through I’m afraid I lost interest and didn’t care that much anymore. Interesting, but in the end not really for me.

Pretty much sums up my views! I found it hard to differentiate between the characters quite a bit of the time too.

Same here, it was interesting at first but got boring halfway in; it was repetitive already.
