not enough - i am ashamed to say i snatched this up when it came out and said, "ooh - a new zadie smith!!" and i had no idea it was a retelling of howard's end which i have never read, so i missed.... just about every point of this book. i just love her writing and her characters, but i am assuming a re-read, after a howard's and read, is inevitable.
