3.25
Genre ~ paranormal thriller
Setting ~ Michigan
Publication date ~ March 5, 2024
Page Count ~ 350 (45 chapters)
Audio length ~ 9 hours 10 minutes
Narrator ~ Brittany Pressley
POV ~ single 1st
Featuring ~ ex military, amateur sleuthing, secrets
April & Eddie are driving along when they spot a figure covered in blood. They bring her to the hospital and the next thing they know they're being questioned for her murder. Since they're outsiders the police don't believe they're innocent, so they do their own amateur sleuthing to try to clear their names.
Good stuff April saying she would die if her husband died. Girl you’ve been married for like 5 minutes and have known each other for like 4 months 🙄. Even after 18 years I wouldn’t be thrilled about dying for my hub, but I suppose if I had to I would, but again not super interested in doing that.
Anyway, overall, this was fine. I enjoyed the big reveal, but April's past secret was not that thrilling to me. I'm not big on paranormal, but St. James does do it well.
Hubs in depth review:
Listened while on the road, but I was not murdered. Narration was good. Figured it out ¾ of the way. I can’t think of anything else to report, it was okay.
Narration notes:
No doubt Brittany knows what she's doing.

😂 I didn’t hate it, but you got me curious so I looked at our comparable table - Your tastes are 72% similar for the books you both rated. So that’s not too bad 😂
