All right, Danny boy, let's see what you've got for us this time. Anyone want to take bets on how many times he mentions the Mickey Mouse watch?

Man, I hope that thing gets smashed under a garbage truck.

message 1: by Arvid (new)

Arvid Birgersson I would guess around once each third pages, so around 150 in 500 pages.

A big surprise would be if Langdons "sidekick" for once wasn't a girl/woman!

message 2: by Ѵǰé (new) - added it

Ѵǰé 5 times in the whole book. The book means nothing without the gift his parents gave him.

Andrea Don't forget his tweed jacket. Because he is an intellectual, duh.

message 4: by Ralph (new) - added it

Ralph A I love that Watch!

message 5: by Katarina (new)

Katarina I think it is actually smashed, but in Inferno movie. So go watch it if you want to see it smashed.

Jessica Leave that watch alone it went through enough. Heathen! :)

Adriana I love that watch :))

message 8: by Daan (new) - added it

Daan Rook I know right XDD

Heather Reagan Love the watch

message 10: by Basu (new) - rated it 4 stars

Basu Srivastava Even if it does, somehow by the end he will have it again on his wrist ;) !!
The watch has chosen that wrist !!

Aranza (grumpy version) I bet that the watch it's mentioned a minimum of 10 times ;). On the other hand, i love the watch. Definitely, Robert Langdon is nothing without his precious watch xD

message 12: by Zubair (new) - added it

Zubair Ahmed Yeah, the watch gets way more appreciation than it deserves 😂🤦‍♂

message 13: by Wissame (new) - added it

Wissame Ѵ😂😂😂😂

message 14: by Bedi (new) - rated it 5 stars

Bedi Nathaniel Worlanyo That's downright funny. I bet two cents he did mention again.

Kirsty Don't forget his fear of small spaces after falling into a well as a child. And of course he find himself trapped in a small space.

message 16: by YN (new) - added it

YN HAHAH OMFG 😂

Ngozi Johnson That's what makes Robert Robert Langdon 😂😂

message 18: by Naveen (new)

Naveen NL 😎😂😂

message 19: by Mavis (new)

Mavis Hagan Lol!!

Richa Pradhan Is it last Robert Langdon book or there will be more??

message 21: by Sonia (new)

Sonia Shenoy Lol :-D

Faith Clavaton 3 times.

Furkan Tutuncu Well, Kirsch's ''unbelievable'' invention was not that unbelievable. It's something we already know and talk for years.

But still, the book was engrossing and I felt the tension from beginning to end. Classic Dan Brown book, but clearly not the best one.

Kalyani Gopal Sadly, it survives and has been mentioned about 3-4 times. And Langdon has even the audacity to flaunt it in the end :D

Deepudj i am at page 163 and he didn't mention it yet.

Cheryl Naah!!! Love that one!!!

Franco I only caught the watch ONCE!

Karen Vo-Allen 3 times! Lol!

Alanna It was soooo late into the book. I almost thought he wasn't going to bring it up!

message 30: by Michael (new)

Michael What do we place the over/under at? I'll say five.

I finished it. Here is my Review :

Origin Review

Sherry Sharpnack Hahaha! Mickey does come up, yes. I am also a proud wearer of
My 30+-year-old Mickey watch. 🙂

message 35: by Sean (new) - rated it 4 stars

Sean Sucked me in right away, but not quite as intriguing as the other Langdon books. I was also disappointed that I guessed the end very early in the book. Not sure if it was too obvious or a lucky guess. Still entertaining.

Nadya Ali HAHAHAHAHA. Once actually. That's a first.

message 37: by Rodo (new) - rated it 4 stars

Rodo i think it was twice tho

message 38: by Kat (new) - rated it 2 stars

Kat Twice.

Shneka Swamy Yeah twice

odedo1 Audio book worm. Hey I got Mickey on my Apple Watch, does that count?
But seriously i love Audio Books, is that book worth using one of my credits?
Or maybe anybody can advise some extra special books that do?
Science fiction is my thing, especially hard core space operas but any great fiction would do but it must be special, I'D really appreciate any help on choosing some books.

Ashley If sci-fi is your thing, this is probably not the place to be. Check out GR's listopia. They should have lots of options for you to choose from. Shelfs about sci-fi and specific genres within sci-fi abound.

Cash'Lion Elud'Ox Not many. I've read it. It almost didn't mention it at all. But there's nothing wrong with the watch. Its a sentimental prop peice for the character to show an example of one of many type of "symbolism." But thankfully you have no say in #DanBrown's work and choices.

Beverly He mentioned it twice. Yeah i counted it LOL

TheGirlWithTheKabukiMask i hate your comment but i also hate that i liked your comment.

message 45: by Jess (new) - rated it 3 stars

Jess Surprisingly the watch was only mentioned towards the end of the book, what really irked me was how often Langdon's eidetic memory was brought up.

Madeline I think the watch was only mentioned once. Too bad. The book would have been more interesting had he written about the workings of the watch rather than the ridiculous adventures of the two heroes.

Brian McCann I was glad he referenced his watch. His inclusion of it was like comfort food for the voracious reader.

Purwa Kumar i think only twice this time around

Prabhjot Hahaha! love this comment! id say he'l mention it about 3 times.

Ahmed he mentioned it only once this time 😂
