A friend recommended this book -- my initial lack of excitement was in part influenced by having read the Eyre Affair and not ejoyed the book. Anyway, this is a new series by Fforde and I must say, it was much more enjoyable than I thought. Fforde creates a very nice little niche and operates marvelously in this world. I think I will continue with the series.
