Borgaz (How the Aliens Were Won, #1)

I have read all of this author's "Seven Brides" series, and I decided to continue on to this series. This story follows a new squad of alien warriors settling down on the frontier just next door to the old set. So, while this book can be read alone, I would suggest reading the seven brides series because there's a lot of history mentioned and cameos from characters of that series.
I liked this book, but I took a star off because it felt really rushed. I get that fated mate stories usually are, but it felt like important things were mentioned but just dropped. For example, the Fmc had all of her money and savings stolen by a male, which left her distrustful of all romantic notions. But she never tells the MC about it, leaving her to seem distrustful for no reason. I thought that would be a great discussion for the pair to have to understand each other better.
Overall, it is a feel-good book that skips right to the happy ending.
