�� ࣪🌸⊹ �� ── girl who hates maths meets book that takes her seven months to read... but still somehow changes her life...? the housekeeper and the professor was a long read, not because of a difficulty in the text or a fault with the writing, but because i simply felt the urge to savor every word. most notably, this book places meaning in the mundane, exhibiting thoughtful themes through simple terms and events. somehow, with some touch of magic, ogawa turned something as abstract yet beautiful as euler's identity into a representation of love as a whole, and changed my perspective of it forever. it takes a lot for someone as averse to math as myself to be wholly enthralled by this warm narrative, but i fear i will never stop singing the praises of, possibly, the best book about numbers of all time.
