I'm not sure why I didn't like this book more. For one thing, almost all my GR friends rated this 5 stars. It had everything. It had a confident, cocky, vicious asshole MC (which I usually love). It was just a little cheesy and boring for me. I DID like it. I just didn't LOVE it.

Vicious is a total dick. His real name is Baron but everyone calls him vicious because, well, he's a dick. Honestly, he's not a good person. He is very troubled and has a dark past. We see why he is troubled later on in the book. Emilia is the daughter of his parent's hired help. Her mother is the housekeeper, and her father is the general maintence man for his parent's property. We don't understand why Vicious hates her so much until the very end. It's definitely an enemies to lover's trope. He uses her for his own benefit, and she uses him for her own benefit. There is minimal spice. A few spicy scenes but I was hoping for more.

I would recommend this book. I'm sure it's a me problem as this was highly rated. I think I wanted more pizazz. Some more spice. It was just whatever for me.
