It seems to me that Elisabeth has actually been so lonely and unhappy over the years. Sure, she loved her pack and her children, but she was clearly missing something. I don’t think she ever felt truly whole.
However, the loss, the grief and the guilt never brought her to her knees; she always continued to be strong, courageous and formidable. Nothing could bring her down completely.
'Green Creek' series:
1. Wolfsong - 3.5 stars
2. Ravensong - 3.0 stars

I refuse to read this book even though Elizabeth is one of my favourite character in the series. I feel like it would be too painful 😣

@Jo � So true! But I also loved that she acknowledged his flaws and resented him for his wrongdoings! She didn’t have any rose-tinted glasses on, which made her love seem more meaningful to me🩷
