i totally should have but the first post i saw sent me to the link on amazon :/ i wonder if i can cancel it and order from barnes instead. BUT every time i order from barnes my book comes damaged

i just checked and it was actually $5 cheaper at b&n so i reordered from there !! praying it doesn’t come damaged 🙏🙏

that is so sad that they come banged up! i’ve been so disappointed with their pre-orders - i preordered onyx storm from there (who knows why), and every time it takes about a week after a book releases for me to get it. might just have to get the target edition on tuesday 🥲 i think i’ll have to maybe preorder from somewhere else for alchemised so i can actually get it on time!!

it is necessary - i need to see xaden lol🙂‍↕�� trying to be better about book buying but some things can’t be helped. also not me literally just responding in absolute paragraphs like i’m texting lol

i love chatting about books lol the paragraphs are necessary! i’m also trying to be better about buying books too but special editions are different. especially for series i already know i like! i’m only buying new releases from authors/series i really love. everything else will have to be a trophy AFTER reading it on kindle/audiobook to make sure i actually like it. i’ve wasted an ungodly amount of money on books i ended up disliking or absolutely hating. it’s so rare for books to have character artwork included tho so i feel like the target onyx storm edition is soooo worth it

yes i completely agree, books are so expensive when it ends up being something you don’t like! apart from series or releases i’m just dying to get my hands on (or if i get to go to a physical bookstore - the closest is 2.5h away), i have to loan it or use ku first before buying from like amazon! my pango is full of my reject books, and my physical tbr is so long 🪦 i pre-ordered the FOTA litjoy special editions and i almost cried tears of joy lol, so i might as well get the target edition of os too since we are just going all out this month. ALSO OMG have you seen the night court editions of ACOTAR coming out 😍

omg that sucks that the closest physical bookstore is so far away! makes me feel so lucky to live in a city where there’s 10+ stores within an hour distance and the closest b&n is like 15 mins. that litjoy edition is so pretty omg i’ve been eyeing it for so long!! i just have the all black special edition of the cruel prince. i’ve only bought three books this year so i’m doing pretty good. (i’m not counting pre-orders from last year🤐) definitely feel like i can treat myself to onyx storm as a late bday gift🤭 i don’t think ill get the night court editions only because i like my sprayed edges to have designs on them !! i really want the rainbow edition of acotar from acrylipics but im waiting for the series to be complete and who knows when that’ll be🙄

that is amazinggg omg. i used to live somewhere with a lot more bookstores - i think i would be broke if i did now lol. hey 3 is good, i am at 3 as well, and of course we don’t count last year’s preorders🤭 the amount i bought last year was actually sick to see lol. YES GIRL onyx storm is a gift just for you!! i have never seen or heard of those editions before and they are drop dead gorgeous omg and the tog ones too 🫨 there are so many beautiful rebindings i would do bad things to have

3 is very good! if we wanna buy 100 books or less this year that’s like 8-9 a month. i don’t even wanna know how many books i bought last year and how much they cost😭 all i know is i can’t go that crazy ever again. but omg yes that company is one of my favs for special editions! they’re a bit pricey but they have the prettiest sprayed edges i’ve seen and the quality is worth it. i would kill for that tog set but�� as of right now i can’t justify spending that much. their caraval set is stunning too. i have the divine rivals duology and the colors are sooo vibrant. their quality is unmatched

the fota special edition was SO worth it though!! those are some of the prettiest books i’ve ever seen. it’s gonna look so pretty on your shelf 🫶 idk what the lowest amount i bought in a month last year was but i probably bought 300+ books😭 i don’t wanna talk about it. 8-9 in a month seems like a good amount but it feels like it’s gonna be so hard. we can try to keep each other accountable ! and i could easily spend $1000 on acrylipics so i don’t blame you🫢

thank you thank you, i think my shelves just needed them 🙂‍↕�� it is going to be so hard, especially with everything coming out this year, i feel like there’s at least 20 releases that i have my eyes on. yes, let’s be accountability buddies on this, i think getting new books is an addiction i suffer greatly from 🫢 i’ve got student loans i need to pay off lmao

reading is my number one hobby. and then after that it’s buying books so it’s definitely a struggle lmao. there’s soooo many good new releases this year so it’s definitely gonna be hard but we’ve got this! (hopefully��)
