it was ok

I'm giving it two stars and I feel like even that's a generous rating. The story was silly, the characters were not believable and the parents were not likable. The author is clearly atheist and has to remind through the autistic boy's character every chance he can get. I wasn't exactly thrilled with the father's colorful language especially when he talked to his son and abusive as well. The mother cheating on the father with a neighbor who acted like a complete tool to the boy was also annoying. The ending was rushed and in just three pages the mother, father, and son are all getting along together. I have no idea how this book was highly acclaimed. I have also worked with autistic children and ones with Asberger's Syndrome. The author has no clue how they really behave.

Tim I basically agree with everything you said in this review. In fact, I'm even reconsidering my original 3 star rating for the book.

Scott Worden Nice! I do admit that I was wondering where the book was going. But not far. :)

Tim Yeah that 'curious incident' didn't last very long.
