Same. I was hoping the fact that he was so annoying would amount to something. It didn't.

So much of his dialogue felt like a PSA or after school special. This was such an anticipated book for me and I couldn’t stand the MC at all.

I’m almost 50% in on the audiobook, and Frank is insufferable. He’s so condescending.

I just can’t fathom how he kept falling for Maggie’s insane lies over and over even til the end. I felt it was not believable at all unless he was just a massive idiot

I agree, there were parts of the audiobook that were boring and seemed to drag on throughout the story. What I don’t understand is why the main character, who had a background in ‘military� never truly used his skills learned except for situational awareness. It was very annoying to see how gullible the MC was when it came to the true nature of his daughter.

Just be glad you didn’t actually read it. It was painfully dull.
