did not like it

I've decided to give up on this one and condemn it to the dreaded one star. I don't get on with DeLillo, and it was probably a mistake to start it in the first place. I didn't get very far into it, but quickly tired of the disjointed sentences and jumpy rhythm. But worst of all was the terrible narration of this audiobook.

But the old problems soon came to the surface: sentences that seem unassociated with what precedes them. It’s like a poem that feels really clever and yet I simply can’t understand it. And the audio delivery is terrible. I’ve paused for now. I’m not sure if I’ll make further progress"

Ron Brown I’m with you on DeLillo. Of the couple of books of his that I’ve read “Falling Man was the only one I found rewarding.

Ron, I even struggled with Falling Man. I was really disappointed by Pafko at the Wall, which I’d read was meant to be the greatest baseball story of all time. But most of all, I really disliked Cosmopolis. I’ve known for some time that his prose just doesn’t work for me. I don’t know why I keep trying to force the fit. I’ll draw the line here.
