I was really excited about this book after seeing the trailer of the movie version. What a disappointment. I anticipated intrigue and drama. Instead, it was like watching CSPAN during the Kevin McCarthy votes for Speaker of the House. Even the big reveal at the end was anticlimactic. Now I’m probably going to pass on the movie too. Ugh! Wasted time!!

OMG - I have this one & was eagerly waiting to read it! Now I'll give it a pass after reading your review because I trust your opinion. Thanks for informing me in your review about the movie, will look for it when it comes out - my tuition kids will help me do that. I think the actual theology & 'spiritual' books coming out from 'the New Evangelization prosperity Gospel Catholic Church' are scarier & more thriller worthy than the actual Catholic Church based fiction books. Do try them & you'll not only be shocked but scandalized! In my case, I get vertigo or start getting nausea ! Hope your next Harris book turns out to be a winner! He used to write great stuff back in the early 2000s. Lets hope for the best! Have a rocking time Hannah! :)

Maybe the book will be better after watching the movie - that's how it is for me many times. The cast has a lot of big hitters, and the trailer really looked good!

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it. I think it dealt with some important themes, most especially, the ending. I hope it created a lot of conversation as a result.
