Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. This is the only book I've read of hers and I don't feel the need or inclination to read any more. Personally, I'm fine with academically written material so long as the subject matter is of interest to me. This subject matter is, but the content and approach to it is pretty snooty.

I'm not holding anything against anything, it's just an observation, and one that you apparently agree with 😃👍
Now, if you're saying it's a redundant point to make given the stated concept of the book, that's a different thing entirely 🤷♂�

Yes, and I did read The Penelopiad as well. I just don't think it sufficiently or satisfyingly performs that function either, let alone as a book in and of itself.
