Picture yourself as an 80-year-old retiree. You finish your first morning laps at the pool and a man you haven't seen for over sixty years makes comments about your tuchus. What. Is. Happening? Poor Augusta Stern. She soon finds herself in an unwanted love triangle in Rallentando Springs.
Before you start thinking this is just a second-chance romance story, let me tell you about Augusta growing up in the 1920's with a father for a pharmacist and her Great aunt Esther helping the neighbors out with unconventional treatments. As we see Augusta adjusting to the Florida retirement life, we are also treated to her 1920's life. You see, there is a mystery to be solved regarding the last night she saw Irving . . . before bumping into him at the pool in Florida. What are the odds?!
This heartwarming read is a magical reminder that you are only as young as you feel.
