This book is the beginning of a wannabe Twilight series (minus the vampires/werewolves). It has all the same elements of forbidden teenage love, hundred plus year old boy in love w/the silly unsuspecting teenage girl, and of course, the no sex before marriage thing (which is fine & great, but must you continuously harp on it? I mean how many discussions about it do I have to read). I actually liked the Twilight books & they didn't make me want to gag (much). This however I hated. And unlike Twilight's Edward just avoiding Bella, this book's Daniel is blatantly evilly mean to Luce....of course, that just makes her like him more, ugh. The second book in this series is even worse and more ridiculous...I know, hard to fathom.
