Before We Forget Kindness (Before the Coffee Gets Cold, #5)

Yay! I've been waiting for a new book in the series since I finished the fourth one. I missed being immersed in this café's atmosphere and the characters' interactions with the visitors going to the past or the future.

There's something liberating about reading these heartwarming tales. A warm atmosphere in here I was happy to be back to reminded me of being on a summer vacation, sittting in the sunshine, nothing to do but read my book and enjoy the day and yet another tale I couldn't bring myself to put aside and brought along with me. It's chilly outside today but this book made me forget about grey clouds and cold but whispering wind I actually love listening to. The wind somehow represented an element of uncertainty, at the same time urgency of the different paths the characters were facing and had to choose. Whooshing and swaying, staying still for a moment then going whispering again.

This installment was yet another gentle touch to the already fascinating series of the books, adding yet more charm and heart to them. 🩷

Thank you, Darla! This café feels so real - I mean, a mental picture in my head is totally believable. I'm really fond of the Tokita family and wish there were more about them - like a whole book just describing their everyday life and them helping other people, of course, to find a peace of mind and happiness eventually 🥰

Oh, thank you so much, Donne! 🩷 I was hesitant whether I should post it because yet again I said so little about the book itself. But I wanted to leave a review for the series that is special to me, so yet again I edited my notes I joted down while reading a book and am so glad you liked them 🥰.
Sugarmints' Artwork seems so fitting for this series. I wanted to embed another image of a cat with a similar otherworldly vibe, but in green hues so that it would match the cover of this particular installment - turned out I still can't insert the images from Pinterest when I use smartphone. I love this "kitty watching cloud tv" picture and already have used it for my other BTCoffeeGCold reviews and think that this artist - Lily - would be great for creating alternative covers for the books :) I love these ones, though. Also for the Italian editions, the translations of which tend to always be released a half year earlier! Makes me regretful we didn't learn the language at school and think I should never have stopped learning it on my own. It's one of my favourite languages ever!
Kitty watching cloud tv - I loved your description for this picture, Donne! 🌤️

Thank you so much, Debbie! 🩷 I'm so glad this series exists, always a heartwarming place I love to return to! 🙂

Great review and I really like all the pictures.

It's an interesting observation coming from your son, Lynn. Got me thinking since I love cats too... There are some stories you are probably already read as a child where the children become tiny but I don't remember one involving a cat. I'm curious now - if there is one, I wonder how the author played the idea out, his or her solution to a hypothetical, but so important to know the answer to, theory... I only know one book "The Ghost of Opalina" with a big but friendly cat, but she's a ghost of a cat and was able to take any visual form, I think.
Thank you so much, Lynn! 🩷 I didn't find whom the first two pictures belong to...

Thank you so much for reading my review and your inspiring words, Zaynab! 🩷

I think it's okay to read them out of order - they're loosely connected and in my opinion a reader can start from any book :) I personally enjoyed the second book more than its preceder and it offers an explanation about a woman in a white dress. But the second installment can perfectly be read any other day since there no follow explanation was given about her situation in the further books. Only a tiny bit maybe in the third one... I don't quite remember... I hope you enjoy whichever book you will pick up, â🎀. Happy reading! 🙂
