�� I knew I wouldn't like this book too much, and I didn't.
I didn't like it that much because I found the story a little repetitive and flat. nothing really ever happened, I literally had to wait more than 250 pages before anything happened and the book is barely 400 pages, but despite that it's a book suitable to read during school.

- demi has always been together with nico, her childhood best friend, since they were both 13.
they wanted to go to the same university to try to stay as close as possible, after each class they try to find a moment for themselves, but between demi's studies and her job as a friend, they didn't always have much time. demi has always seen a future only with nico, she couldn't look at anyone else but her nico, but unfortunately as they say: not all that glitters is gold, and in fact nico begins to cheat on demi because he doesn't feel up to her standards.

- in all of this demi meets hunter because, going to the same psychology course, they have to do a paper together. they start studying together on a project and thanks to it they become friends. hunter confides in her about everything, especially about the fact that he had seen nico cheat on demi with a girl, demi doesn't believe it at first, when she then realizes that nico had really cheated on her, she asks hunter for help in finding a new boyfriend, but soon realizes that she didn't need to look too far, because her future boyfriend was right near her.

- after their first kiss demi and hunter start dating, getting to know each other better, and they officially get engaged.
hunter represents a great lifeline and courage for demi, because thanks to him, she decides to tell her father that she didn't want to become a doctor like him. thanks to hunter demi understands that it wasn't her fault if nico had betrayed her and that she was fine the way she was.

demi is a girl who always thought she knew what to do: become a surgeon just like her father.
by taking psychology classes at school she realizes that she doesn't want to follow in her father's footsteps, but she's afraid to tell him, because she always thought that if she didn't become a surgeon her father would always see her as "a mistake".
she's always been a down-to-earth girl, sure of what she does and what she wants, but she never thought she'd have to get over a betrayal.
but thanks to the help of her friends and hunter she starts smiling like before, even more, and she realizes that nico wasn't the guy I thought he was and that losing him only made her gain.

this guy is funny. and he's much cooler than I'd thought, definitely not the arrogant asshole I expected him to be. I'm not gonna lie-hunter davenport is growing on me.

briar hockey player, he decided to make a vow to not cause problems for the team and not let what happened last year happen.
after starting this vow he decides to want to be the best captain for the team, always trying to put the sport before himself.
thanks to a university project he meets demi and immediately understands how compatible they are, he feels with her like he has never felt before, and for fun he also tells her about his family situation.
he realizes he loves demi shortly after they start dating, but he tried in every way not to give weight to these feelings because for him it was more important to be a perfect captain. thanks to demi however he understands that to be one you had to have feelings and emotions, and for this reason he decides to let himself go and tell demi how much he loved her.

after finishing the second book i really need to continue the series!!
i'm really curious to read hunter's story because i think he could become one of my favorite characters.
