I found this story to be very slow with not much action happening. I wasn’t able to connect with the characters and felt on the outside of the story, looking in.
I can objectively see that this novel was well-written with beautiful prose but I think I just was not in the mood for this type of slow-paced story at this time.

Looking forward to this one. Really enjoyed The Secret Book of Flora Lea even though I had to be talked into reading it.

Mood is everything. I came off a couple intense reads and this one was a perfect fit for me.
