This book exposes children to the alphabet. It uses familiar animals with the same starting letter. Then a descriptor word that also starts with the same letter as well. So, it has alliteration. The pictures help the students make the connections between something they know and the new letters. I would use this book as a library book that students could use for exposure to the alphabet.
