A highly entertaining locked room mystery/thriller!

A grand lodge nestled in the Scottish countryside. A group of friends that get together to celebrate every New Year’s Eve.

This story starts with the discovery of a dead body among the snowy estate grounds. The narrative then goes back to a few days prior to the discovery. The timeline jumps back and forth to intriguingly unravel the pieces of the mystery.

This novel kept me intrigued and guessing throughout. All of the characters were unique and well-developed. There were quite a few characters, but they were easy to keep track of and they all carried a possibility of dark secrets. The atmosphere was palpable, adding to the overall suspense and mystery of the plot.

Warning ⚠️: there is animal killing, as you may assume from the title. I am a huge animal lover and was able to skim this part but it did make me uncomfortable.

Audio rating: 5+ stars! I really enjoyed the cast of audio narrators! They greatly enhanced my enjoyment! This will be an All Time Favourite audiobook!
