i do some of my best reading on flights and this was no exception!! the first 4 parts are incredible character studies as each family member’s POV revealed new/conflicting/hidden information about themselves and the others (or their perceptions of them). in the last part and the last chapter itself all these threads and layers come barreling down the hill with a sense of dread and towards an inevitability foreshadowed throughout the book. bleak, humorous, intriguing read
