Devil in Winter (Wallflowers, #3)

This is one of the loveliest historical romances I've ever read. Sebastian is a darling. Indolent, witty and an amoral rake, he constantly surprises himself by his feelings for Evie and his efforts on her behalf. From the beginning he protects and takes care of her. He never mocks her stutters or social clumsiness. The scene where he asks her what it will take for him to get back into her bed is awww-worthy.
Evie is a worthy heroine. Spirited but not foot-stampingly annoying, stubborn but not stupid, she deserves such a great hero. She's a virgin but refreshingly not frightened of sex. Only fear of having her heart broken keeps her from sleeping with Sebastian after their wedding night. This is one of the story's main conflicts and a realistic one, given Sebastian's acknowledged rakishness. Practically she proposes a 3 month period of celibacy for Sebastian to prove himself. Can Sebastian last the 3 months?
The sex scenes are not many but are very sensuous and full of feeling. The sexual tension throughout is superb. Both hero and heroine grow and their HEA is richly deserved. I love this romance!

It most definitely is! I loved this book. Sebastian and Evie are my favorite historical couple. :)

I wanna clasp him to my womanly bosom :-)
