A lovely new myth I've never heard of. This is a mesoamerican myth based on stories from the Nahue and Mayans. I've never heard this one. They blended several different stories and came up with this more ancient story. In the back, they tell the different versions of the stories they used.

Rabbit is the care taker for the moon and she keeps the light going. Possum wants to taste the light and so drinks it leaving the sky dark. Now there is no light. So Possum goes inside the Earth and pulls out fire and gives us the sun.

The artwork is so stylish and the colors pop. There is a huge emphasis on light and dark. It's lovely. It is acrylics and oil paints later made digital. The art is cool.

Kids into mythology and rabbits will love this.
