The Happy Prince

Dontcha just hate it when, having nothing better to do, you pack your princely bags, and go on a crusade to uncover the formula of happiness, only to find yourself in a never-ending series of experiments, more fruitless than even Pink Panther's , and as you tirelessly chase after this ever-distant goal , and to top it all off, you can't shake off the nagging feeling that you're actually the frog trying to become a prince, hopping you'II magically transform, but you realize that the very act of searching has consumed all your precious time and energy, leaving you no room to actually experience the happiness you so desperately seek, until one day - in a moment of sheer exhaustion and surrender - you decide to abandon the quest altogether , and in that very instant - as you let go of the need to find happiness - you suddenly feel a profound sense of peace and contentment, as if true happiness had been waiting for you all along, right there , in the fuckin' simplicity of just being , and then , to your utter surprise - you discover that true happiness comes from making others happy , even though their constant demands drive you to the brink of madness, annoying you to death, and making you wonder " what the royal fuck ?? "
