Enjoyed this one on audio! Kudos to the great narration. The writing once again is top-notch. This is a clever "ode" to the old Agatha Christie novels.
The Darker family have gathered for their Nana's 80th birthday party. Nana, is a famous children's author. She has one son and an ex-daughter-in-law. Her three granddaughters are all named after flowers. Rose, Lily and Daisy 🌼 Daisy is narrating the story. I greatly enjoyed the present storyline with the murders. There was a lot of mystery and suspense build-up and I loved the secluded house. Then the book goes back into the past to tell the stories of the Darker family members. For me, these stories were a little too long and drawn out. I kept anticipating the present storyline.
I couldn't figure it out and the twists at the end were really good! This one was more of a 3 1/2 stars for me but the ending pushed it to a full 4 stars. Alice Feeney continues to be a favourite author of mine.

Great review Tina. I recently listened to Beautiful Ugly which was my first experience of this author. I think I've had Daisy Darker off and on my list so maybe I'll have to put it back on!
