The best book in the trilogy! Drizzt’s journey on the surface is brutal, heartwarming, and full of growth. From battling prejudice to finding true friendship with Mooshie, this is Drizzt at his most human. Roddy McGristle wins Pettiest Villain of the Year, and the action never stops. A perfect mix of survival, wisdom, and epic fights. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sojourn proves Drizzt was born to be a legend!

Drizzt finally escapes the Underdark, only to be blinded by the sun and nearly mauled by every creature in existence. Wolves? Check. Bears? Check. Paranoid humans with pitchforks? Double-check.

Despite his legendary sword skills, he’s got no clue how to survive up here—but at least there’s no Lolth, no scheming drow, and no mind flayers. A solid start full of danger, discovery, and Drizzt vs. Nature!"

30.0% "Drizzt vs. the Entire Surface World continues! He braves the wild, dodges pitchfork-wielding humans, and somehow a dwarf named Fred exists. 😂 Meanwhile, Roddy McGristle is still the pettiest bounty hunter alive. Drizzt just wants peace, but the universe says NO. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for survival skills, -1 star for humanity. Hoping he meets someone who doesn’t try to kill him soon!"

Meanwhile, Roddy McGristle is still holding the biggest, dumbest grudge in Faerûn. 😂 Drizzt is learning, growing, and maybe, just maybe, finding a place to belong. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Mooshie, -1 star for Roddy’s obsession."

Julia I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I loved the first three but wasn’t tempted by any more. I may go for the last three at some point.. 😊

Walter Hi Julia,

I’m really enjoying the books! There are a lot—maybe around 36? Not sure exactly, but I’m definitely tempted to read them all. For now, I’m starting with The Crystal Shard and taking it one book at a time. Let’s see where the journey goes!

Jabotikaba I really enjoyed the Drizzt stories too. Sojourn and Starless Night are the best books in my opinion. A dark elf on the surface is very interesting, I totally agree with you. But the human girl in Underdark is even more interesting. Please read Starless Night too!

Walter Will do Jabotikaba. Thanks!
