Thank you for that lovely advice, Zaynab. I'll definitely take it. I'm not going for the third book and I have my eyes on my comfort reads to get me out of the possible slump this might have put me into.

It's all we can ever do to try my friend, and try you certainly did by making it to the sequel. Alternatively, I'm saddened on your behalf that the first two books really didn't live up to the anticipation. As always, popular books have a tendency to divide the crowd, and I'm disheartened on your part that this series posed great challenge to you. I'm still deliberating the merits of reading the first book but I will hopefully get to it some time this year (especially since it was kindly gifted to me lol). I hope your natural cheer has been restored my friend haha 💜
