really liked it

I'm glad that someone else apart from a few Aussie's finds Australia's obsession with "Big Things" amusing. What other country can name a swimming pool after a drowned Prime Minister? A must read for anyone with a sense of humour or a love of all things Australian.

Margaret I pass the sign for that swimming pool every single work day...and it still makes me smile.

Saturday's Child I'm with you on that. I'm glad Bill Bryson mentioned it in his book as it needed to be shared with more than just people who live and/or work in Melbourne.
