3.5 stars.
A good enough prequel to the Hunger Games series that adds some more depth to the character of Haymitch, and makes a valid point about how history can be manipulated, rewritten, or even entirely erased.
But overall, too much of the same formula. If the author decides on another prequel to this series, Plutarch Heavensbee definitely should be the subject next time. Although Tigress or Cinna might be interesting, too.
