it was amazing

“I love you like all fire.

6 ⭐️’s of sheer agony and pain and tears and suffering. If someone so much as utters the word gumdrop in my presence I’m punching them in the throat.

I will never be the same. I want to crawl into a hole and die a slow painful death. I actually can’t stop crying. How does one just continue living after this???????

No you will not be getting any more of a review from me I simply lost the ability to form thoughts.

“The nightmare always starts with me feeding her that gumdrop.

“I roam around the yard like a stray dog, curl up under her window, yearning for her ghost to find me.

“Tough and smart, her hair in two braids then, reminding me for all the world of Louella McCoy, my sweetheart of old.

“Like the geese, we really did mate for life.

“Nothing you can take from me was ever worth keeping, and she is the most precious thing I’ve ever known.

Max I want to read this so bad because he was always my favorite but I knew my heart would not recover and my mental health will plummet so I need to wait to prepare myself 😭 but reading these quotes I know I’m going to be destroyed no matter what

message 14: by Heather (new) - added it

Heather Dull Did you read the Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes? I'm curious because I have been trying to get through TBOSBAS for awhile now and I'm STRUGGLING!! Should I ditch TBOSBAS and read this? I assume I don't need to have read TBOSBAS to read Sunrise on the Reaping?

Hailey Vail i am suffering

Stephanie H That last chapter was tragic poetry!

Eveline @heather you should really read TBOSBAS before you read this book. Because when you understand the history of snow you understand what is happening when snow and haymitch talk about the covey girl I know it’s a thick book but you need to finish!!!

message 18: by Heather (new) - added it

Heather Dull @eveline thanks! I’ll keep chugging along! And it’s not even that it’s thick- I just really don’t care about anything going on- I’m BORED 😬 it’s just such a far cry from the original series that had me hooked instantly and I’m missing that in this one! I’ll keep going and hopefully I’ll enjoy sunrise on the reaping more! 😊

message 19: by Kat (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kat To I'm so ugly crying rn

message 20: by Mary (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mary Perez Just finished.. I wanna puke and cry how deep and sad never thought I could hate the Capitol and Snow more!

Arlene Diaz Absolutely gut wrenching! The deaths in the Games in my opinion were by far the most savage of all the books. What Haymitch was put through was unimaginable. I was literally cursing out loud. I was NOT prepared for any of this.
