Big, Bad Alien (Alien Wolf Tales, #1)

I tried to trudge through this but it is too repetitive and slow for me. Also maybe not seductive enough. I love Little Red Riding Hood/Big Bad Wolf stories and was going in open minded but overall expecting a good time from Honey Phillips alien retelling.
It was written with accuracy and technically proficient, but the style wasn’t my favorite. There was little suspense and nothing really at stake since we learn it all from dual POV.
The primary offender that made me throw in the towel may not be an issue for others: the overuse of the words SHOULD and SHOULDN’t. Basically the characters were shouldn’ting all over themselves. LOL. He shouldn’t be attracted to her, she is his enemy because of her race. She shouldn’t be having these cozy feelings for her captor…blah blah. Rinse and repeat over and over again. And also, nothing exciting happened and I hung in all the way to 41%.
Maybe next time, Honey!
