really liked it

3.75⭐️.
I am so glad that I listened to Kelly and Jackie and gave the “hard copy of this book another shot! Originally I began with audio and I had a challenging time connecting with Amy’s narrative.
After reading both of their reviews, I couldn’t help myself but try the book and I am so glad that I did.

Amy did a beautiful job of being honest in her retelling of her personal childhood sexual abuse and trauma. She did so in a way, where you couldn’t help but love her for being so transparent with her audience. I found she did this very eloquently and didn’t just complain about being a “victim and “woe is me mentality.

I was impressed that she raised four children so close in age. Her relationships with her husband and kids was comforting to read about. I loved how her children (especially her two daughters) were so inquisitive and smart. Her husband was beyond supportive and kind, and the entire family dynamic made me smile.

A beautifully done memoir that I would recommend all women read.
