Nothing about BROKEN COUNTRY needed fixin'.
Except, of course, the book's three deeply flawed and "broken" protagonists.
Kudos to author Clare Leslie Hall for penning a poignant and explosive masterpiece that was heartwrenching, unputdownable, and unpredictable.
This powerful and emotionally jolting story about a love triangle with catastrophic and devastating repercussions wowed me from start to finish.
I never wanted the 9-hour audiobook to end.
Narrator Hattie Morahan did a superb job with the narration.
It's easy to see why this book was one of Reese's Book Club's top picks.
One of my besties of 2025.

I am a dog lover and dog owner --- yet, the dog's death certainly did not impact my review. It was a small element of the story that was part of the atmospheric farm setting and provided insight into the sheep farmer's state of mind. I hope you give the book a try. It's in a league of its own.
