So on the surface I enjoyed this book. I like the drama of the heroines communication with the hero. I don't mind the insta-love that is even mentioned in the book, because I truly believe that can happen. But there were a few real life facts that left me distracted. The heroine receives numerous broken ribs but spend the rest of the book moving with relative ease. Rolling off beds and engaging in although incredibly hot, but physically impossible sex in her condition. If you have ever experienced even a bruised rib you know that no one rolls off beds, has sex against walls or plays cowgirl with broken ribs. Also this heroine had just experienced a traumatic encounter with a madman. When your new puppy starts barking at your fence in the dark, it's the proverbial "don't go in the basement when the power is out" horror movie plot line. She seems to not be able to clue in to the obvious. So outside of me snorting every time she does gymnastics with her shattered ribs I did actually like this book. I loved the dialogue between the two characters, I love they never gave any excuses for their feelings. Just accepting the feelings as they came. That was pretty darn refreshing.

Tt Felt the same way but chalked it up to fictional fantasy. I gave it a higher rating because I really liked the characters and the angst in the book didn't have anything to do with the relationship- which I like. But I soooo agree with you about the physical probabilities of those actions with several broken ribs, split lip and lets not forget falling into the hole 10 feet or more down and no broken bones, concussion, anything!...still loved the book!
