I read this for our RS Book Club, then I didn't get a chance to go. It was a cute enough story, just too simple and the writing a little amateur. I found myself disliking the main character so much because part of his conflict in the book was him thinking how silly and wasteful The Nutcracker Ballet was, it drove me crazy! (Speaking of amateur writing, how'd you like that crazy sentence?)

Now I can't remember what I rated it! I didn't get too upset about the main character cuz I figured he would "get it" in the end (thus the simplicity of the book!) I probably wouldn't re-read it. :)
