it was amazing

My Review:
Amazing book. Amazing story. Amazing, heart-stopping hero! I had a feeling this was going to be a good book from the blurb and it absolutely lived up to my expectations.

Honor's a normal woman who is actually a romance novelist (LOVED that.) She's out running on a wooded Pennsylvania trail when she is abducted. This girl is tough...wow, she did all the right things...fighting back with everything she had, but it just wasn't enough when faced with a bigger, stronger guy and she ended up beaten up and in a hole in the middle of the woods. But she's smart and resourceful and managed to sneak the guys cell phone during their struggle. She has very little signal so when there's an incoming text, she answers it with a plea for help. That texting exchange is with Nathan, a marine who plays poker with her abductor (and obviously has no idea about what kind of guy he truly is.)

But Nathan is all things good and heroic. Through a bizarre set of events, he provides Honor with a lifeline. Truly, this guy is tough and strong and protective and all things amazingly heroic. I loved how reluctant he was to leave her side...ever throughout the book. He simply wanted her safe and feeling secure. He has his own nightmares so he understands a lot of what she's going through with her trauma and that makes him that much more. *sigh* I absolutely and totally fell in love with Nathan.

It's a great romantic story with a lot of drama and suspense. It definitely did this romantic suspense lover's heart good to read it. It's been a while since I've been so caught up in a suspense book. Yay, Cambria Hebert!

I've ordered all of this author's other books since this was the first book I've read from her and I truly loved this author's voice.
