Another unexpected DNF for a book that I've been looking forward to read since 2014. Stopped around page 100 so no rating. It did not work for me because of the pretentious, hypocritical, snobbish characters who accuse others of snobbery. Plus they don't feel real. The most popular 4 reviews of this novel sum up perfectly what I disliked about it so read those if interested.

There's no shame in DNFs. It's the sign of a discerning reader!

I started twice and put it down twice for exact same reasons.
Same here! It seemed to me it was all about how intelligent she (I dont recall her name). It was also very cognitive and didn´t appeal to me at all.
No law against giving up❤️

Cartea asta ma bantuie. Am incept sa o citesc acum n ani si tot incerc sa-mi fac curaj sa o termin. E cartea preferata a unei prietene si mi-a facut-o si mie cadou de ziua mea. Din cand in cand ma intreaba daca nu am citit-o dar I so don't wanna...

I’m still struggling to fight my way through this book because my best friend recommended it but my god is it absolutely mind numbing.
